Ronnie Barker – superstar.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? Ronnie was a genius, but apart from the usual ‘Porridge’ and ‘Two Ronnies’ Shows, I remember him, years ago on the telly playing ‘Bottom’ in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ – and he was brilliant.

He was also in one of my favourite '60's films – The Bargee", an English film about life on the canals. Ever get the chance – try and see it.

Yeah, yeah, he'll be missed. Of course, he's refused to show his face in public for ANYTHING for the past 10 years (except his Xmas show last year, i know).....

he was great, I'm not denying that, but wow, every blog I've been to has pictures & scripts etc

Anyway, thought I'd been hanging around long enough now, & made a few comments & you haven't sent me packing yet, so I've added you to my links:-)

Truly one of the greats alfie .. always figured Arkwright as the best character but I liked his series called Clarence where he played the short sighted furniture removal bloke .. someone in the paper today said that the world doesn't seem quite so friendly now that Ronnie Barkers gone .. I know what they mean.
